Moving Windows to a new board without reinstall was sucessfull and now I enjoy a lightning fast A64 3000+. Here in short how I did it.

Before changing the MB I replaced all the chipset specific drivers, from IDE Controllers, USB and Systemcomponents and replaced them with standard drivers from MS. Then I deleted all the drivers for sound card, videocard and what else I had pluged in an pci slot.

Than shutdown… hardware change… start… chipset driver.. etc.

Done.
